Use of Medicines

Some medications, if used in excess and regularly, can cause liver inflammation because when they are in large quantities in the body, the liver is unable to metabolize these substances quickly. Some examples of remedies that can lead to liver cirrhosis are nitrofurantoin, isoniazid, methotrexate, amiodarone, sodium diclofenac, and chlorpromazine.
Usually these medications cause liver cirrhosis in different ways. Some of them can damage the liver directly, while some are transformed into other chemicals by the liver to cause damage. Some connected symptoms can be seen in patients, including poor appetite, itchy skin, rashes, enlarged liver, weight loss, coma, dark or tea-colored urine, etc. Even it can cause serious damage, including irreversible scarring of liver tissue and liver failure that threatens life.
