Signs and Symptoms of Walking Pneumonia

Nausea and vomiting

Nausea and vomiting [10] are less common symptoms of atypical pneumonia. An infection that affects the lower respiratory tract, including the lungs, may trigger this symptom. Your stomach may become upset and make you feel sick. This sick feeling does not always lead to vomiting but sometimes it does.

Most times nausea and vomiting are symptoms of gastrointestinal infections, not respiratory infections. Keep a record of your other symptoms so you do not mix the two up.

Loss of appetite

Walking pneumonia may also cause loss of appetite [11] in some patients. This is often due to the activity of the causal pathogen. When you do not eat because you lack the appetite for food, it contributes to the tiredness associated with this condition.
