Shot

- Pros: It is administered once every three months. If you use it frequently and as recommended, it can be more potent than pills.
- Cons: In some cases, you may have more severe side effects than when you use pills. Also, you must wait for an extended period after you stop taking the shots.
Oral Contraception
- Pros: You will not experience much bleeding and cramps during your periods. It also has a decreased risk of ectopic pregnancy [3] and ovarian cysts. [4]
- Cons: You may experience a delayed cycle when you stop using the pill. Its efficiency reduces if taken with other drugs such as anti-seizure and antifungal drugs. [5]
