How to know if an autistic person has a mania

If you suspect that you or a loved one have both bipolar disorder and autism, you must understand how they appear together. The effects and symptoms of both conditions appearing together are different from if they appeared by themselves.

Depression is a condition that is easy to identify, while mania is less obvious. This is why it may be difficult to recognize mania in an autistic person.

It is less likely that you have mania if the behaviors have been constant since the symptoms associated with autism appeared. However, if you notice a sudden shift or change in behaviors, it may be due to mania.

As soon as you figure that the symptoms have appeared, look for seven key signs of mania to be completely sure. These include impulsivity and speaking quickly.
