You had big plans for the morning when you went to bed the night before: get up early, take a long walk, do some chores, and go grocery shopping for an afternoon BBQ with friends.

Your attitude immediately worsens when you discover that you must work hard to complete even half of those tasks when you wake up two hours later than expected. You were eager to do some cleaning and engage in some physical activity, but you’ll probably have to forgo at least one of them.

You may become frustrated, irritable, and irritated if you feel that your day has already been wasted. Since you can’t complete your goals exactly as you had hoped, you might even decide not to bother.

You might start to feel guilty and dissatisfied in yourself if routinely oversleeping prevents you from seeing friends or engaging in other enjoyable activities. Making arrangements altogether is a possibility, which might exacerbate loneliness and, over time, sadness.
