There is a possibility of an individual who experiences nerve damage due to injury or surgeries to have a dry mouth. The nervous system is a big part of every process that goes on in the body, from breathing to the control of the body muscles. Usually, nerve damage can have different types of symptoms.

The symptom that an individual feels mostly depends on the area and type of nerves that were affected. Examples of some common signs of nerve damage aside from dry mouth are dry eyes, bladder dysfunction, profuse sweating, and the inability to sense chest pain.
