Tongue
Aside from the teeth and dentures, the tongue is another major cause of bad breath. The tongue’s rough surface serves as a shag carpet where bacteria, food particles, and post-nasal drip accumulates, producing the conditions for the breeding of bacteria. Please note that the regular toothbrushes may not clean the tongue appropriately because they were designed for the teeth. Some helpful oral devices like the tongue scraper or tongue cleaner were made to clean the sludge that accumulates on the tongue’s surface.
