Other symptoms of MS

A major symptom of multiple sclerosis is identified as tingling. However, there are other symptoms of this medical condition. Such symptoms are:
- Lhermitte’s sign: this is an intense sensation which feels like an electric shock that moves from the neck to the spinal cord then to the limbs. It is caused by demyelination and hyperexcitability [4]. Some of the risk factors are stress,exposure to excess heat.
- Sexual dysfunction: multiple sclerosis also affects the rate of interest in sexual activities for both the male and female.
- Depression and Emotional changes: the damage of the protective sheath known as myelin and miscommunication to the brain may cause several emotional changes in the individual. The individual suffers lack of interest, anxiety and confusion.
- Eye problems: due to this medical condition, the optic nerve may become swollen resulting in extreme pain in the eye. This inflammation may also lead to partial or blurred vision. Bad vision may also be a sign of multiple sclerosis.
- Bowel problems:Constipation results from the less movement in the bowel. This results in difficulty in passing stools.
- Problem in the Bladder: the loss of bladder control is a symptom of this condition. The need to urinate suddenly and difficulty in emptying the bladder are forms of bladder problems.
- Weakness of the muscle: The damage caused in the nerve,makes the muscles become weak by lack of stimulation.
- Pain
- Memory problems
- Problem swallowing.
- Headache
- Loss of hearing ability
- Seizures
- Itching sensations
- Problems in the respiratory system.
- Tremor [5]
- Dizziness and vertigo.
- Fatigue
- Mobility problems.
