How to Prevent Vision Disturbance from MS

Although vision disturbance in MS patients may be avoidable, there are ways you can prevent or reduce the chances of it occurring.
It helps to rest your eyes throughout the day, as it can prevent an oncoming flare-up or lessen its intensity. Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce that severity of whatever visual condition and prevent long-term damage. Doctors can also prescribe glasses that help contain the prism that shifts the eye.
The damage and risks will be greater in people who have any form of visual impairment before MS, and the damage could have greater impact. As a person MS progresses, they become more susceptible to vision disturbance.
