Poor appetite
People with this condition usually have a poor appetite. This is probably due to the increased pain in the cheeks when eating or swallowing. Children with this infection would refuse several meals offered to them due to the heightened pain they feel on chewing or swallowing.
Fever
Mumps often presents with a low-grade fever. This fever can last throughout the duration of the infection or may last for only a few days. It is a nonspecific symptom of Mumps infection. This fever can also be accompanied by dull headaches.
