Use a Standing Desk

Toot, toot. Time to board the standing desk train. By making you get up from a bad sitting position and encouraging greater movement throughout the day, these workstations serve a dual purpose.
A pinched nerve in the torso or lower body can be prevented and treated by standing up more frequently throughout the day and moving around more.
Speak with your company’s human resources department about changing your workstation so you can stand while working if you work in an office and have a pinched nerve (or wish to prevent one!). Additionally, there are many options available online.
If obtaining a standing desk is not an option, you might try converting your current desk into one by placing your laptop or computer monitor on a stack of books. Another choice is to make a point of getting up and going for a stroll every hour to the water cooler or lavatory.
