Wear a Wrist Splint and Apply Ice Packs

A splint may help those who have severe carpal tunnel syndrome. Why? Mainly because it makes you rest and guard your wrist. (Usually, early treatment strategies do not include wrist supports or braces.)
Wearing a splint can be especially beneficial at night since it prevents your wrist from folding in an unfavourable way while you sleep.
Do you still feel pain? It might be of great help to apply an ice pack [4]. A good old bag of frozen peas works just fine, though you may want to wrap it in a cloth or paper towel to shield your skin.
Alternatively, you might massage the sore spot for roughly five minutes with an ice chip. Hascalovici advises ice for 15 minutes to begin. After that, wait 30 minutes before icing once more.
