Reduced Grip Strength

The nerves in your hand help you hold and grab objects. This is because they send sensory information about objects you are touching to your brain. Your brain then processes the information and instructs your muscles on how to react. When a nerve in your vertebrae is pinched or irritated, it may lose its ability to send information to your brain for processing. As a result, your muscles will not be able to function properly, leading to difficulty writing, poor grip strength, or inability to perform small-motor tasks.
Pain or Burning Sensations Radiating down Your Leg
The sciatic nerve [2] is a large nerve that supplies all the muscles in the posterior thigh, and leg. Sciatica [3] is a common type of low back pain that occurs when this nerve gets pinched or compressed where it leaves your lower spine, or lumbar spine. [4] Branches of the sciatic nerve extend from your lumbar spine through your buttock and all the way down to your leg. So, if the nerve gets compressed or irritated, you can feel pain, burning sensations, or a mild aching anywhere along the nerve pathway.
