Stages of Parkinson’s

  • Stage 1: This stage involves tremors that are not entirely dangerous. The symptoms manifesting in this stage do not disrupt regular activities.
  • Stage 2: This stage is accompanied by mild symptoms that disrupt movement on both sides of the body. However, it does not stop you from performing daily activities.
  • Stage 3: Series of severe symptoms start to manifest in this stage. They significantly disrupt daily activities. You may begin to experience frequent falls and limited movement in this stage.
  • Stage 4: The main symptoms of the condition start to appear in this stage. However, you may still be able to stand on your own. Due to the limited movements and frequent falls, your healthcare provider may advise you to live with someone.
  • Stage 5: The symptoms manifesting at this stage are critical and they completely impede movement. You may start to experience serious dementia and hallucinations.
