Radiculopathy – An Overview

Difference between Radiculopathy and Sciatica

Which pinched nerves are causing the pain varies. When a nerve along your spine becomes inflamed or crushed, it results in radiopathy. Sciatica [2] is the term used to describe the pain or discomfort that results from compression or pinching of the sciatic nerve, which is the longest nerve in the body and travels from your lower back down the back of each leg.

Radiculopathy typically causes pain in the vicinity of the pinched nerve in your back. A form of radiculopathy known as sciatica produces discomfort in your lower back and legs along the sciatic nerve.
