Infantile parkinsonism-dystonia

Infantile parkinsonism-dystonia is a rare disorder, also referred to as dopamine transporter deficiency syndrome. It causes a progressive decline in involuntary muscle contractions and other symptoms that resemble those of Parkinson’s disease. It usually starts in infants.

Infantile parkinsonism-dystonia has no cure, and it’s caused by a mutation of the gene SLC6A3.
