Runny Nose
A runny nose could signify whooping cough, especially when followed by other signs like a cough. The discharge of mucus characterizes this condition from the nostrils, leading to excess mucus production in the nose. A runny nose causes a great deal of discomfort and could require the use of some medications.
Individuals may have runny noses due to indoor and outdoor allergies, including pollen, pet dander, dust, and ragweed. These allergies cause headaches, sneezing, and a sore throat. A runny nose can also be linked to the common cold [3] or an infection with the upper respiratory system.
Individuals with a flu usually experience a runny nose. Flu is highly contagious and has symptoms like chills, headache, congestion, muscle aches, and fever. In most cases, a runny nose clears itself without any significant medical intervention.
