The Common Symptoms of Prostatitis

Painful Ejaculation and Discomfort of Penis & Testicles

Painful ejaculation is another symptom of prostatitis, and scientific studies have shown that between 1-10% of men around the world experience this symptom, and as many as 30 – 75% of men with the prostatitis condition tend to experience pain during ejaculation. The pain can occur during ejaculation or after ejaculation and can vary from man to man. The pain may last for a couple of minutes or may also last for up to 24hrs and the pain can either be mild or very intense.

Pain and discomfort are also a symptom of prostatitis, and this pain can affect the shaft, the base or the top head of the penis. A burning or throbbing sensation can also follow the pain or discomfort of the penis. Inflammation of the prostate can cause pain in the pelvic area and also around the penis region. Taking antibiotics, taking pain relief medicines, having a prostate massage can help ease this symptom.
