Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction can be described as the inability of a male to achieve or sustain an erection strong enough that is suitable for sexual intercourse [7]. When an erection occurs, the spongy tissues present in the penis relax and traps blood in which the blood chamber causes the firmness of the penis, which then causes an erection. After orgasm is attained, the nerves send a signal to the penis and allow the contraction of the muscular tissues in the penis. In turn, blood is being released back into the man’s circulation and then tends to bring down erection. In a situation where erection can’t occur, the blood flow in the penis is not adequate, or the nerves are harmed when there is emotional or physical stress.
