Who Is Shingrix Not Recommended for?
Certain conditions may restrict you from getting shingrix, some of which include:
- If you are pregnant. It is best to wait until you safely deliver your child before you get shingrix.
- If you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine or an effect.
- You shouldn’t take the vaccine if you currently have shingles.
You may take Shingrix if you have a minor illness, like a cold. However, if you are suffering from a moderate or severe illness, it is best to wait until you fully recover before getting the vaccine.
