Skin Cancers
People living with HIV have a high chance of developing certain skin cancers. Some of them include:
- Basal cell carcinoma
- Squamous cell carcinoma
- Melanoma
- Kaposi sarcoma [4]
Other Symptoms of HIV
Some symptoms of HIV only last for a few days or weeks. These type of symptoms are known as acute retroviral syndrome. They are:
- Headache
- Fatigue
- Rash
- Night sweats
- Fever and chills
- Sore throat
- Muscle aches
- Joint pain
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Mouth ulcers
Most of these symptoms usually go away after using medications while some will remain.
However, you should visit your healthcare professional if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.
