Fatigue

More than 50 percent [12] of people with irritable bowel syndrome report fatigue as a symptom. Fatigue resembles tiredness, but it is more intense.
Although the relationship between fatigue and this disorder is not clear, a study in 85 adults [13] found that they were more likely to experience severe fatigue when the symptoms of their irritable bowel syndrome were worse.
You may have irritable bowel syndrome without being aware if your symptoms are mild. If your symptoms are severe and disrupt the quality of your life, you should see a doctor.
