Sudden Weight Loss
Frequent vomiting due to ulcer complications and food blockage in the digestive tract may lead to significant weight loss. The body will be unable to absorb adequate nutrients to gain or maintain weight. Peptic ulcer patients may experience discomfort or burning stomach pain after eating some food, which makes them avoid meals, leading to weight loss.
Shortness of Breath
A bleeding ulcer may also lead to shortness of breath. The gradual loss of red blood cells may induce shortness of breath and fatigue because the body struggles to produce adequate oxygen to match blood shortage.
