Compress the Elbow and Provide Support

Compression can help reduce muscle fatigue. Wrap a compression bandage around your elbow till it’s tight enough for you to feel the tension. If the bandage is correctly applied, you should be able to move your fingers with more ease.

The temperature and color of your skin below the bandage should be the same as the rest of your arm. Loosen or remove the bandage if you observe your lower arm is cooler than the rest of your arm. This often means blood flow in your arm has been restricted by the tightness of the bandage.

If you’re unable to use bandages correctly, you can opt for braces as they also help take tension off the elbow.
