Getting adequate rest is very vital for pregnant women. It is important to learn soothing relaxation techniques, because they help you live with pregnancy worries and later labor contractions [5]. They are also helpful after delivery, in moments when the baby refuses to stop crying.

Yoga is commonly used to ease stress, if you are not busy, take a class. Pregnancy meditation technique that can be done anywhere, anytime to ease stress are:

  1. Sit with your eyes closed and think of a relaxing, peaceful scene, such as a sunset over your favorite beach, waves gently touching the shore and a quiet mountain vista with a babbling brook.
  2. Relax every part of your body from your head to your toes. Breathe deeply through your nose, expiring through your mouth and target 10 to 20 minutes if you can swing it.
