Heart Attack Symptoms in Women

Fatigue

Fatigue is a feeling of intense tiredness. [6] Unlike regular tiredness, fatigue does not usually improve with rest and it can interfere with your ability to perform daily tasks. While it is normal to feel tired after exerting yourself, feeling tired all of the time or after performing minimal tasks might be a sign of a coming heart attack. This symptom is more common in the weeks preceding a heart attack.

Weakness

Feeling weak or shaky is also a symptom of a heart attack in women, but unlike fatigue, it is more acute. [7] It usually occurs closer to the moment of the heart attack. You may experience general body weakness along with light-headedness, anxiety, or dizziness.

Conclusion

People can sometimes tell they are having a heart attack by observing their symptoms. For women, these symptoms often resemble but may deviate from what is typical for men. You should go check it out with a doctor if you experience these symptoms, especially if you have risk factors.
