What to Expect at 8 Months Pregnant

Fetal growth at eight months of pregnancy

This month, your baby’s organs are growing quickly! The brain is one organ that really develops because it starts to produce brain waves similar to those of newborns. The kidneys in your newborn also mature.

Given the rapid growth, it is perhaps not unexpected to learn that even your baby’s fingernails are growing longer. They might grow past the fingertips by the end of the eighth month.

Your infant might weigh between 4 and 6 pounds and between 16.5 and 18 inches long at the end of this month.
