What You Should Know about Bradykinesia?

Test and Diagnosis for Bradykinesia

Bradykinesia akinesia incoordination test, also called the B.R.A.I.N test, is the major test used to identify bradykinesia. The test involves tapping keys quickly on a keyboard while changing fingers for one minute. The result of your diagnosis is determined by your score on the test.

The scores usually contain the number of correct keys you hit, the number of wrong keys hit, the time it takes for you to hit a key, and the time difference between each key tapping. The B.R.A.I.N test helps healthcare providers determine your stage of Parkinson’s and if you have bradykinesia. There is no particular test to diagnose the initial stage of Parkinson’s disease.
