Why You Should See a Registered Nurse
When you visit any medical facility such as a doctor’s office or hospital, a registered nurse is always the first person who talks to you in an exam room. They take your temperature, listen to your problems and write notes for the doctor. Nurses can also be hired outside a medical building. Some RNs visit homes, work in schools, or help in prisons.
You should know that you can’t make an appointment directly with a registered nurse, like you can with a nurse practitioner or a doctor. They don’t have all of the medical knowledge or permission required to see you alone or diagnose you.
