Grapefruit seed extract
Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) is another effective remedy. It is a powerful natural antioxidant and can be applied both around the outer part of the ears and internally. Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) is also antibacterial [2], antiviral, and antifungal [3], which makes it very effective for ear infections. To apply, mix ten drops of the GSE with ½ oz of pure aloe vera juice and use it to clean the ears. To apply internally, add 3 to 5 drops of GSE to your dog’s food.
Oil of Mullein
Mullein mix has proven to be effective and works for most ear infections in dogs. It helps reduce the pain, minimize the swelling in the dog’s ear, and help kill viruses. You can either make it yourself or buy it. Making it is an easy process. All you have to do is combine 5 to 6 drops of oils of mullein with garlic oil. To apply, soak a cotton board in the mixture and use it to clean both ears of the dog two to three times a day.
