Calcium Deficiency (Hypocalcemia) Symptom

Brittle Skin, Nail, and Hair

Calcium deficiency, in its chronic form, has a very bad effect on the condition of the skin, nails, hair. If you are regularly having chipped nails [5] or your nails appear not to grow properly, it could indicate that you have calcium deficiency. Dense foods such as dairy products, greens, seeds, salmon, nuts, tofu, figs, et al, should be taken since they are filled with calcium. Dryness and itching appear on the skin; Nails become brittle, hair becomes dull and lifeless, and then alopecia develops. Alopecia is a disease in which hair falls out in round foci. The picture, frankly, is not a pleasant one.
