Calcium Deficiency (Hypocalcemia) Symptom

Frequent Fractures and Tooth Deterioration

As mentioned earlier, calcium is needed to build bones and make them stronger. Lack of calcium can weaken bones, causing frequent fractures [7]. If the human body is sorely lacking in calcium, it finds a way to fill the gap by drawing the mineral from the sources available to it. And the first in line are the teeth. This, in turn, leads to dental problems. Weak roots, irritated gums, fragility and tooth decay as a result. Teeth may start to turn yellow. When they get weaker by the day, the teeth begin to weaken and become susceptible to cavities [8]. Possibly, you might encounter issues with bad breath [9] as well. Loss of teeth is another common symptom. The lack of calcium in children delays the formation of deciduous or permanent teeth.
