Children and Adults
A doctor’s attention is needed when a child feels;
- irritable, repeatedly vomits, Constant headaches, stomachaches, or any other symptom that leads to immense discomfort
- increase in temperature that persists longer than three days
- increase in temperature after coming out of a hot car. Seek medical attention quickly
- listless and has poor eye contact when talking to someone else.
Medical attention is needed when an adult has a temperature higher than 103F (39.4C). See a doctor when any of these signs or symptoms are observed;
- serious headache
- abnormal skin rash, especially if the rash worsens
- mental confusion
- persistent vomiting
- convulsion or seizures
- chest pain or breathing difficulties(dyspnea)
- pains in the abdomen when urinating
- stiff neck and pain when the head is bent forward
