Do Jumping Spiders Bite? Here’s How To Treat It

How to differentiate a jumping spider from other insects

Jumping spiders are small insects with a length of about 0.8 centimeter. The most effective means of identification for this insect is the color. Unlike other spiders, jumping spiders have multiple bright colors on their body. They are mostly seen in different shades of metallic greens, whites, and reds. The chelicerae (jaw) is the most colorful part of the insect.

The Phidippus audacity male species are black with white spots on their abdomen and a metallic green jaw. Other types of jumping spider may have a red abdomen or jaw. The primary purpose of the multiple coloration of this insect is to attract females for reproduction and run away from predators.
