What does a termite bite look like?
It is possible that you don’t even notice a termite bite. This is because these insects have very small jaws so their bite may not have any effect, and it is uncommon for them to bite humans or even animals. If you do notice that you have been bitten it is more likely that a different type of insect caused your bite, most commonly a bug. A bug bite will show certain symptoms on your skin, such as:
- Pain
- Itchiness
- Raised and swollen
- Reddish in color
- Irritation
If these symptoms get worse and do not fade over time, it could be that the bite is from a more dangerous insect. It is important that you see a doctor for diagnosis and proper treatment.
