Even though termite bites hardly pose any health risk to humans or pets, they still remain dangerous and unwanted in the environment and homes. An infestation from a termite colony in your home can lead to structural damage. They can cause damage to your appliances and furniture, which can lead to your home being unsafe and requiring significant repair.
When to see a doctor?
Termites bites in general are not harmful and could go unnoticeable. The same can’t be said for other bug bites. You should see a doctor if:
- you are not certain what type of insect bite you
- Your symptoms worsen over time
- If you start to observe signs of any infection like a fever
In severe cases, you can have shortness of breath or feel dizzy or lightheaded. If this happens you should immediately seek emergency medical help.
