How Soft Drinks Affect Your Teeth?

Cavities

Too much soft drink consumption is one of the several leading causes of tooth decay. Soda can have serious negative effects on your teeth. Not only does it weaken the tooth enamel, the carbonation, sugar, and acids also encourage the growth of bacteria on one’s mouth and on your teeth, which can also contribute to cavities.

Soda can affect the next layer after the enamel, dentine, and even composite fillings. Cavities are also known as caries do not just develop in a day, they are usually as a result of regular and continuous intake of soft drinks, and then they develop over time. Also, if you have poor oral hygiene, like refusing to brush your teeth twice a day, then a lot more damage can be done to the teeth.
