Treatment for bites from a venomous spider

Brown recluse or black widow spider are examples of some common venomous spiders. If you believe you have been beaten by either of them, immediately get medical care. Dial your emergency number to get to a doctor.
These are the only venomous spiders in the US:
- brown recluse spider [5] (Midwestern and Southern United States)
- black widow spider [6] (Southern and Western United States)
Some other common and dangerous spiders outside of the US are:
- Brazilian wandering spider (South America and Central America)
- redback spider (Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Japan)
- funnel-web spider (Australia)
- The female redback spider is dangerous, but a bite from a male redback spider is relatively harmless.
