Surgery is only recommended for severe hyperhidrosis that does not respond to other treatment methods. There are different types of procedures doctors may recommend. They include these two:
Sweat gland removal
This procedure [7] is often used for excessive sweating limited to or most severe in the armpits. If you do not respond to other treatments, doctors may remove your sweat glands. Your doctor may perform a procedure known as suction curettage to take out the tissues.
