Blood flow to the intestines is highly imperative for great performance. When the blood vessels supplying your large and small intestines are restricted, it results in a disease called Mesenteric artery ischemia.
Blood supply to the large and small intestines is achieved by three main arteries commonly called the Mesenteric arteries. Abnormal constriction or blockage of these vessels deprives your digestive tract of adequate blood supply. When inadequate oxygenated blood flow to the intestine, it can result in several medical problems which include unintended weight loss and malnutrition. When the cells in your intestine die, it can cause permanent damage or lead to death.
