Our bodies are able to handle stress in small doses, however, when it becomes long term, there might be negative effects on the body. Stress can affect every part of your life, including your behavior, emotions, physical health and thinking process. The symptoms of stress revolve around both mental and physical symptoms. These symptoms include:

Acne

Acne is one of the most visible symptoms of stress. Acne is a skin condition that occurs when the hair follicles and skin pores become clogged or blocked with dead skin cells and oil. There’s visible red pimples on the affected area of the skin, most commonly the face, due to the infection or inflammation of sebaceous glands.

A person who is agitated or frustrated due to stress tends to touch their face constantly. This can cause bacteria to spread therefore contributing to the acne developing on the face. There are also a lot of studies that confirm that there is an association between acne and high levels of stress.
