Localized Symptoms

Localized symptoms are symptoms that affect the specific area if the body that is infected. Example if these symptoms include pain, swelling, problem with organ, and redness.

A common symptom of bacteria infection is pain in the affected body part. A lung infection can cause pain when you breathe and you can feel abdominal pain if you have intestinal infection. You also experience redness or swelling in the affected part of the body that you can see, such as the throat, ears, or skin.

Inflammation of international organs can occur when you have a bacterial infection. You may feel pain in the area too. A bacterial infection in the respiratory tract may cause you to develop a productive (wet) cough with thick mucus.

Bacterial infections can reduce or alter the functional capacity of affected body parts. For example, meningitis [1] (an infection surrounding the brain) can impair your concentration. Pyelonephritis [2] (a kidney infection) could worsen kidney function.
