Brace Your Elbow

Your doctor may recommend braces that protect your elbow and support it to reduce tennis elbow pain. While braces may be available in different stores, it is important to speak with your physical therapist or your doctor to ensure you get the best kind of brace and that you apply it well. You can also use products such as KT tape (kinesiology tape). These tapes are used to support the muscles and tendons, but don’t reduce range of movements like braces. Elbow straps all offer support and compression.
Adapt Your Technique
Adapting your technique to reduce pain and discomfort in the elbow is helpful when you know what activity caused the elbow pain. If you are a sportsman, you can contact a trainer or a coach about your technique while playing. You may also need various equipment or change how you hold or use equipment. If a repetitive task at work is responsible for your elbow pain, you can check how to make your workplace more safe for you. For example, you may have to get a trackpad to replace your mouse.
