10 Common Symptoms of Low Hematocrit Level

Fatigue and Hypothyroidism

Constant fatigue is a common symptom of low hematocrit levels. Waking up tired after a good night’s sleep is also a common symptom of anemia. The constant tiredness is usually due to reduced and compromised red blood cells that cannot transport the required amounts of oxygen to the organs, which will not be able function properly.  This will lead to abnormal exhaustion, weakness, and lethargy [3].

Anemia usually occurs as an early sign of hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism [4] is usually characterized by feeling exhausted, weight gain, and reduced temperature. Iron deficiency anemia is also characterized by constant tiredness.
