What are the symptoms of rotator cuff injury?

Some rotator cuff injuries may not cause immediate pain. Some usually occur due to degenerative conditions. This means that the rotator cuff could be injured for months or years before you start to experience symptoms.
The following symptoms are common in people who have rotator cuff injuries:
- Difficulty reaching behind the back
- Inability to stretch your arm to your side
- Progressive weakness of the shoulder
