Stretching Exercises

Once your legs start to feel better, you should consider exercising them. This will improve blood flow in your legs and loosen tension in your muscles. There are many types of stretching exercise to relieve leg pain. Exercises that stretch your hamstring and glutes are often very effective.
Elevating your legs above your heart level can also reduce pain and swelling. This is part of a treatment protocol for sport injuries called RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate). [6]
