Palpitations

Palpitations are said to be present when one can perceive the beating of the heart on the chest. They feel the beating of the heart that is hard, fast, and haphazard. Individuals describe this feeling in different ways. Some describe it as a missed heartbeat, some as a hard banging of the heart against the chest, some others as a flutter in the beating of the heart, and so on. Palpitations can occur continuously or intermittently.
Slowed heartbeat
The heartbeat may be slowed down due to hyperkalemia. This is because of the damage done to the muscles of the heart in this condition. When the heart muscles do not function properly, the heart cannot beat as effectively as it ought to, giving rise to a slowed heartbeat.
Hyperkalemia is known to cause severe paralysis and weakness of the body. This complication is very datal. It also disrupts the normal beating of the heart causing irregular heartbeats that can cause sudden death.
