How to treat infected belly piercings

Leave the piercing hole open
Except if your doctor tells you not to remove the jewelry, you don’t have to. You can treat the infections without removing the piercing. All you have to do is keep the piercing open. Opened piercings give room for the pus to drain. Infections may get trapped in your body if the piercing is close, and this can lead to an abscess.
Use a warm compress
A warm compress helps drain the pus in the infected piercing and reduces the pain and size of the swelling. Ensure you use a wet compress like a warm washcloth with a cleaning solution. Put the compress on the piercing and dry it with a neat towel after a while.
