Problems with Esophagus

It’s possible that esophageal problems can cause chest pain. For instance:
A heart attack-like chest pain can be caused by an esophageal muscle spasm.
Esophagitis, an inflammation of the esophageal lining, can result in searing or excruciating chest pain. Additionally, esophagitis can result in post-meal pain, difficulty swallowing, and blood in your stools or vomit.
Food can leak into your chest cavity as a result of an esophageal rupture or tear, which can cause moderate to severe chest pain. Additionally, it may cause dizziness, nausea, and fast breathing.
How to Treat it
The cause will determine the course of treatment. After proper diagnosis, your doctor will determine the next course of action. In the case of an esophageal rupture, a surgical repair is required.
