Possible Cause of Pain in the Lower Left Back

Sciatica
Pain resulting from compression of the sciatic nerve is known as sciatica [1]. This nerve travels down the back of your leg and through your buttocks.
A compressed portion of the sciatic nerve, such as a herniated disc, bone spur, or spinal stenosis, is typically the cause of sciatica.
Usually, sciatica affects just one side of the body. Your leg feels like it’s burning or electric-tingling in your low back. Sitting for extended periods of time, coughing, or sneezing may exacerbate the pain.
It is possible for serious sciatica causes to leave your leg weak and numb.
